We are excited to announce our very first Ambassador as part of our Ambassador Programme for 2026. This initiative is focused on addressing a serious issue in men’s mental health: the barriers that stop many men from accessing counselling. Currently, only 20% of counselling service users are men, even though between 50% and 77% experience emotional struggles at some point in their lives. This gap shows just how important it is to challenge stigma and raise awareness.

The programme aims to change the way people think about counselling. Seeking help is often seen as a weakness, particularly for men, because of societal expectations around masculinity. Asking for support is normal, and can actually be empowering. Talking therapy offers a safe space to process emotions, gain perspective, and reconnect with the energy, joy, and aliveness that life can sometimes take away.

Our first Ambassador will be a key part of this work. They will inspire others by showing that mental health is part of being human, and that giving ourselves permission to be fully ourselves is essential for a fulfilling life. Through their story and advocacy, they will help challenge stigma and encourage men to access support without fear of judgment.

The initiative also focuses on education and awareness about what counselling can offer. Framing therapy as a tool for self-discovery, resilience, and connection can help reach men who may have dismissed help in the past. Creating a culture where mental wellbeing is prioritised for everyone, regardless of gender, is at the heart of this programme.

This is just the beginning of a journey to make mental health support more accessible and relatable. The Ambassador Programme will challenge outdated ideas, celebrate vulnerability as strength, and highlight the transformative power of counselling. Details about our first Ambassador will be revealed soon, and we can’t wait to share the insight and inspiration they will bring to this important conversation.

If you would like to support our work, there are many ways to get involved – whether by spreading the word, joining events, or making a donation to help us reach more men with the support they need. Every action makes a difference and helps us create a future where mental wellbeing is valued for all.
