Welcome to Westmeria Counselling College – we offer both counselling and supervision training as well as student counselling placements.
Studying with us:
Various levels of counselling training are delivered, and all of our counselling courses are accredited by the Counselling and Psychotherapy Awarding Body (CPCAB).
Our comprehensive supervision course offers the opportunity to acquire and develop an understanding of the essential skills and competencies required to deliver effective supervision. This course has been developed in accordance with BACP guidelines for qualified counsellors who are looking to further develop their practice. Please click here.
All of our training takes place in Bickley, South London and is easily accessible by car and public transport for those living in London, Kent, Sussex and the surrounding South East.
Established in 2003 as a low-cost counselling agency, we have been able to continue providing the service through the generous donations & fundraising of our clients, staff and valued supporters. Providing counselling training has been an alternative way to help sustain our ever-growing and much needed service. So, by attending one of our excellent courses, you are directly enabling someone to receive the counselling they need.

Student Counselling Placements with us:
Student Counselling Placements continue to be in high demand with us as we are a generic counselling agency offering excellent support and supervision alongside your training.
There are a limited number of placements available to start in September each year, and applicant interviews are generally arranged in the June of the same year. Occasionally placements become available at other times, so even if you have missed the opportunity in June it is still worth getting in touch with us.
Whether you are studying with us or elsewhere, we welcome applications from counselling students who wish to have their training placement with Westmeria. You must be studying at least at Diploma level.

CERTIFICATE IN COUNSELLING SKILLS COURSE – Qualification:- CPCAB CSK-L2
The foundation of professional counselling practice as well as providing essential listening and communication skills.
CERTIFICATE IN COUNSELLING STUDIES COURSE – Qualification:- CPCAB CST-L3
An introduction to the three main theoretical approaches to counselling with a great understanding of what to expect from working in counselling agencies.
NEW: BACP APPROVED PRACTIONER QUALIFICATION – CPCAB L4 DIPLOMA IN THERAPEUTIC COUNSELLING (TC-L4)
This two-year part-time qualification gives learners the knowledge, skills and competencies to work as a therapeutic counsellor in an agency context. It offers the same robust CPCAB TC-L4 Qualification with the additional confirmation that candidates have met the standards of the BACP Approved Practitioner Qualification.
Courses start annually in September.

CERTIFICATE IN COUNSELLING SUPERVISION COURSE
A comprehensive course, reflecting the competencies required in supervision and giving an understanding of essential supervision skills. This course has been developed in accordance BACP guidelines for qualified counsellors who are looking to further develop their practice.
